The role of Michael was played by Al Pacino in all three "Godfather" movies.
If you're referring to The Godfather films, his name was (Don) Vito Corleone.
Marlon Brando and Robert De Niro both won playing Vito Corleone in Godfather I and Godfather II respectively.
Not officially. Francil Ford Coppola directed the three official Godfather films released in 1972, 1974, and 1990. But there is an unofficial film Coppola was not involved with, "The Sicilian" (1987). It takes place while Michael Corleone is in Sicily. But there are no references to the Corleone family in the film. The makers were sued or threatened with a lawsuit to remove any references that would associate it with The Godfather.
Robert De Niro and Al Pacino have starred together in three notable films: "The Godfather Part II" (1974), where De Niro played a young Vito Corleone and Pacino portrayed his son Michael Corleone; "Heat" (1995), a crime thriller where they faced off as a detective and a master thief; and "Righteous Kill" (2008), in which they played veteran detectives. Their collaborations are highly regarded in cinematic history.
The name of the characters in America is Corleone, but that's because some nice man on Ellis Island mixed it up because young Vito wouldn't/couldn't speak. He was from the town of Coeleone in Sicily. The real last name for the family was Andolini, but not everyone remembers that. Also the name of the other families are Tatalia, Starachi, Barzini and Cuneo
Al Pacino
Before "The Godfather," Al Pacino appeared in several films, including "Me, Natalie" (1969), where he had a supporting role, and "Panic in Needle Park" (1971), which was one of his breakout performances. He also starred in "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight" (1971), a comedy based on the novel by Jimmy Breslin. His early work in theater, particularly in productions like "The Indian Wants the Bronx," also contributed to his rising fame before landing the iconic role of Michael Corleone in "The Godfather" (1972).
