Lassie, his Dog. One of the many distorted realities of Lassie was the absence of any continuing or regular peer-level pals for the lead human character, Timmie. there was an old Farmer who looked something like Colonel Sanders ( Mr. Cully as I recall) and of course his parents ( for some reason the dad was somewhat distanced, laid back-rarely playing a big role in the plots) No kid side-kicks, quite the opposite of , say Dennis the Menace or even Leave It to Beaver. another oddity was the total absence of any comedy or even wisecacks. Something was dark and dismal about Lassie.
Porky, the character on the television series "Lassie," was played by actor Paul Peterson. He portrayed the role of Porky during the show's original run in the 1950s and 1960s. Peterson was known for his charming performance as one of Lassie's young friends.
June Lockhart
Yes, it's true. Lassie was played by a boy dog. Lassie was a male, but not a border collie..He was a collie..
Jon Provost, who starred as Timmy in the classic television series "Lassie," has largely stepped back from acting. He has lived a quiet life, engaging in various activities including public speaking and writing about his experiences in Hollywood. As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, he resides in California.
If you mean the Grow Up, Timmy Turner! Movie, then Drake Bell.
In the popular television show "Lassie," the owner of the collie was named Timmy Martin, played by actor Jon Provost. The show followed the adventures of Lassie and Timmy on their farm.
The actor Jon Provost (that is how he spelled it) played the role. He is still alive as is the Mother Character, June Lockhart

No, I believe he is deceased. Jon Provost, the familiar (Timmy) of the Provost-Lockhart Lassie period, as a flag of convenience the (Provost-Lockhart Lassie) is still alive, as is Miss Lockhart.
Tommy Rettig, as Jeff, was the first owner of Lassie. Jan Clayton played his mother. When he got to old, the story line had Jon Provost cast as being adopted, both by the Martin's and Lassie making the choice to stay with Timmy on the farm. In the original transition, Timmy's mother was played by Cloris Leachman for one eposide. The series with Tommy Rettig was renamed "Jeff's Collie" much later, I guess to separate the two stars. There was also a Canadian "Lassie" series a few years ago with Corey Sevier as Lassie's owner.
