There is no "both" Woodstock's. Since the original 1969 Woodstock, there's been four more festivals of the same name in 79, 89, 94, and 99.
1979- Of the 32 original bands/artists from 1969, only Richie Havens, Country Joe & the Fish, Canned Heat, Johnny Winter, Paul Butterfield, Stephen Stills (of Crosby Stills Nash & Young), Rick Danko (of The Band), Jorma Kaukonen (of Jefferson Airplane), John Sebastian, and Michael Shrieve (of Santana) played in the 10th anniversary 1979 reunion
1989- Blood Sweat & Tears, Canned Heat, Country Joe McDonald, Melanie, Edgar Winter were the only original performers in the spontaneous celebration of the 1969 Woodstock's 20th anniversary
1994- The Band, Santna, Joe Cocker, Country Joe McDonald, John Sebastian, Crosby Stills & Nash, Jorma Kaukonen (of Jefferson Airplane) and Bob Weir (of Grateful Dead), Bob Dylan and Sweetwater are the artists that performed at the original 1969 Woodstock as well as the 94 version.
1999- No original 69 Woodstock artist played at Woodstock 1999. However, John Entwistle of The Who played a solo set and Mickey Hart (of Grateful Dead) played drums with his band Planet Drum.
In 2009, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock, quite a few of original performers got together for a three month tour. Those performers included; Jefferson Starship (Jefferson Airplane spin-off), Big Brother and the Holding Company (Janis Joplin's band), Canned Heat, Ten Years After, Melanie, Edgar Winter (played with brother, Johnny in 1969), John Sebastian, Mountain, Country Joe McDonald, Tom Constanten (of Grateful Dead), Levon Helm (of The Band)
