Sam the Sham and The Pharoahs
Lady in Red was a Chris de Burgh song from 1986. He's Irish. In 2009 the song was recorded by a Canadian band Addicts of Affliction in a hard rock/metal styling.
It was Chris De Burgh in 1986 on his 'Into the Light' album. The song was redone in 2009 by Canadian band Addicts of Affliction on their Sinful Resolution album.
One of the lyrics to the sequel goes, "That's not my little girl; but she looks a lot like me." The point is, the girlfriend in the original "Roses are Red" song apparently did NOT "find someone new" when the singer went off to school. . . so this is a classic case of star-crossed lovers. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the name of the girl who sang the sequel.
The name of the Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple song is the Rainbow Song.
Anthony Red Rose
Bobby Vinton sang the song that goes "Roses are red, my love; Violets are blue.Sugar is sweet my love, but not as sweet as you".

The theme song to Clifford the Big Red Dog was sung by artist Jason Michael. The 42 year old singer was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Best Daytime ChildrenÕs Theme Song.
Gene Autry recorded the first well-known version. Johnny Marks wrote the song, based on an earlier written story, so Marks probably sang it before Autry picked it up.
