The original version was performed by author DAVE GRUSHIN and can be found on the album "Discovered Again". But you are probably thinking of the hit version by the RHYTHM HERITAGE (1976) which can be found on many compilation albums. The vocal version aka "Keep your eyes on the sparrow"is by the late SAMMY DAVIS Jr. who had a big hit with it.
