Anita is harrassed and assaulted by the Jets, when Maria tells her to deliver a message to Tony. Right when they are about to sexually harrass her, the owner of the drugstore stops them, and Anita lies saying to tell Tony that Maria is dead, when she isn't....it's a lot like Romeo and Juliet.
