Sebastien Bordeleau scored the first overtime-winning goal in Nashville Predators franchise history. He did so on January 30, 1999 against the New Jersey Devils at the Continental Airlines Arena (aka Brendan Byrne Arena) in East Rutherford, NJ. With 2:43 gone in the five-minute overtime period, Bordeleau put a wrist shot past Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur to give the Predators a 3-2 win. Team captain Tom Fitzgerald was credited with the lone assist on the goal.
