Why shouldn't i wear contact lenes during chemirsty labs even if wearing goggles?

Gases or fumes produced during a chemical reaction can literally melt your contact lens onto your eyeballs. You're just putting yourself in a riskier situation to wear contact lens during labs, even if you're wearing goggles. Think about it.

Ap bio lab 1?

You can receive all 12 AP Biology labs at apanswers.webs.com. They have a whole year's worth of AP Biology labs. I used the site last year to pass AP Biology and the AP exam at the end of the year. It'll only cost 14 bucks, but it's well worth it because they get the labs straight from the Collegeboard handbook.

Constructivism in chemistry lab?

This sounds like a question proposed by a chemistry education professor. I'm a high school chemistry teacher (16 years) and unsure why we push constructivism in chemistry labs. It seems unsafe to have kids design labs. Liability is much greater for the school. Well written labs will develop the skills students need to construct knowlege and attain understanding. Class discussion and post-lab analysis are wonderful opportunities for the student to use constructivism. Proponents of constructivism generally cover far less content than a more traditional approach to teaching chemistry. Very few topics in chemistry do students come to class knowing. Therefore they have little knowledge base to build upon. For these reasons, I will continue to be more traditional and resist constructivism as the only tool to teach chemistry. Why are labs over pressurized?

there are no labs that i know of that are over pressurized but biology labs or chemical weapons labs or other labs with dangerous substances are negatively pressurized meaning the pressure inside is reduced so when the door opened air would be sucked into the lab preventing dangerous substances in the air to escape the lab.
