Have you ever heard of whiting? There are about 30 fishes in the Sillago family. All are called whitings and all are edible...they're also full of bones, so you really need to pressure cook them to make the bones dissolve. But yeah, you can eat them. I don't think I WOULD, just because I dislike fighting with fish that bony, but they're okay.
