The first europeans to reach Japan were the portuguese. The date is set between 21 and 24 of September of 1542. Three portuguese ships were taken off course by a storm and after a few days lost they reach the shores of Japan. The captains of the three ships were Francisco Zeimoto, António Peixoto e António da Mota.
