There are different places that would be good for getting a transmission flush. A dealership for the make of your car would be a good start but if you are still concerned or don't want to spend as much money, you can go to a Transmission shop that specializes in it.
You can always go to walmart or try an autoparts store and get a coolant flush kit which has all the fittings to fit onto the radiator and connect a water hose to it Also some transmission flush. should have directions with it.
could be as cheap as 40 bucks for a flush if its a automatic or a whole new tranny which will be over a 1000.
Replace transmission
A transmission flush can replace 98% of the existing fluid with fresh transmission fluid. It basically purges the system of the old and replaces it with new. The old fluid, over time, will varnish and get sticky. A flush is designed to remove this varnish and restore better working order to the transmission. It does not effect the forward and reverse gears.
Go to Auto Zone, Pep Boys and buy shutter guard and pour it in the transmission
Alright, dumb a**, there is a drain plug on the trans pan on the super duty. So according to you, that means you should flush it right? yes. usually flushing an auto transmission will stir up the gunk on bottom of pan and clog up valves only people that tell u to flush a transmission, are so called mechanics that hope to make more money and really dont know what they are doing if you were supposed to flush a transmission, there would be a drain plug on bottom of transmission oil pan
When was the last time you had the transmission flushed and the filer changed? As the oil warms it loses it's viscosity and it's ability to drive the transmission. Have a compete flush done (about $160) and your roblem should go away.
You should go to a certified mechanic or auto repair shop to fix your brakes.
Most likely you will have to change transmission... Or you can hire a mechanic to fix it for you but it will cost somewhere in between $1-3K.
The transmission should not "go out". The pilot light should be lit at all times
It could be due to your transmission about to go out or low on fluid or needing a transmission flush
The transmission has a leak and it will soon go out if you do not fix the problem
