McCain consistently votes against veterans benefits whereas Obama has supported them. McCain doesn't believe PTSD is a real condition (or more likely is in denial about it). Obama understands that vets see and experience a lot of things that will be with them for life, all in the name of service to our country and he thinks we owe it to them to offer them help if they want it.

What are John McCain's documented inaccurate statements?

Here are some lies of John McCain: * John McCain has repeatedly said that, ""Sen. Obama has never taken on his leaders of his party on a single issue." This is untrue. In his work on ethics in the Senate, Obama fought against Harry Reid to prohibit the use of anonymous earmarks. http://obsidianwings.blogs.com/obsidian_wings/2008/10/taking-on-his-p.html * Here are several links to stories debunking the myth that Senator McCain (R-Arizona) votes to support our troops with his votes in the US Senate. http://www.vetvoice.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1973 http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080602/beutler http://thinkprogress.org/2008/05/23/mccain-vet-awards/ http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org/articleid/9559 Who supports American Troops by voting for bills to help our Troops and Vets in the US Senate? Did John MCcain vote against president Reagan sending marines to Beirut?

Yes, Mccain voted against this decision and his logic was that since he was a serviceman, he felt that going in to Lebanon and stationing troops serves no goal, and that the longer we stay the hard to leave.

How can you honor your war veterans?

What is John McCain about?

John McCain is the Republican nominee for President. He has a lot of changes planned out, that are (in my opinion) very good for the country. If he wins, he has a plan to raise the value of homes in the United States and prevent foreclosures. He does plan on keeping troops in the Middle East until the job is done. McCain is very pro-gun and will protect the rights of people to bear arms. In my opinion he is much more qualified to be president than Barack Obama. I hope you will vote for him as well.
