Hubble did not believe the universe is expanding. The universe is not expanding like the big bang, it is excited like an atom. The electrons jump to a higher level and lower their speed. The lower speed is a lower energy state, the max energy is when v=c.
Hubble;s relationship v=HD indicates the distance D from the max energy state, where v = c.
Hubble's Constant is dR/Rdt =c/R =H = 300M/150TT = 2E-18 m/s x31E21 = 62km/s/Megaparsec.

∙ 12y agoEdwin Hubble's red shift data is the basis for the claim that the Universe is expanding. The red shift data is mis-interpreted and the Universe may not be expanding.
The Universe is Bounded and has a minimum size and a maximum velocity.

∙ 15y agoWho ever it was is wrong. The Universe is not Einstein thought it was contracting due to gravity and introduced the "cosmological Constant" to combat the contraction. Maybe Friedmann suggested it was expanding. Hubble's redshift is interpreted as expanding by most r physicists, (not by Hubble). The redshift is an indicator that the Universe is NOT Expanding.
