People who dive are usually just referred to as divers. You can break them up into roughly four categories:Skin divers - who hold their breath, and do not use scuba equipment. Also sometimes called free divers.Sport divers - who dive for fun (they used to be called 'recreational divers', but now this term is used to distinguish sport divers from 'technical divers' who also dive for fun, but dive outside of WRSTC 'recreational' limits).Commercial divers - who dive for their jobs. By convention, this excludes recreational diving instructors, to differentiate from commercial divers who use equipment underwater, engage in saturation diving and use of elaborate gas mixes.Military divers - who form a sub-set of the navy. Not all divers fit neatly into these categories (police divers, rescue divers, fisherman who dive for their catch), but those tend to be the broad categories used.
Perhaps you are referring to a breast plate. A bp is what commercial divers wear that allows them to go under and work. Sport divers don't wear complicated gear. Commercial divers wear an outfit that protects them from a harsh environment. Hardhat, breast plate, suit, shoes, wt. belt, air line to the surface with unlimited air supply according to the depth they are diving at.
Most scuba divers just obtain open water certifications from recreational diver training agencies, such as PADI, NAUI, BSAC or SDI.Only military or commercial divers undertake vocational diving qualifications.

Yes, Commercial divers are trained out of Chino State Prison in California. I have a felony and am currently enrolled in at the Ocean Corporation in Houston. I already have a job lined up when I graduate. You have to be able to obtain a TWIC card and that means no felonies for drug trafficking, smuggling weapons, drugs, or people over international waters or airways. So get some loans from the GOV and get on with life! Semper Fi
There were no divers in the middle colony.
The duration of Hell Divers is 1.82 hours.
