No one "split" the Spice Girls... True Geri Halliwell left in 1998 for personal reasons, but the Spice Girls continued on their very successful "SpiceWorld Tour", had another tour without Halliwell named the "Christmas in SpiceWorld Tour". Their third album "Forever", did relatively well in the UK, but not so well in the US or other countries due to poor promotion of the release. Now, if you're referring to the more recent split during the "Return of the Spice Girls" tour I'm sorry to inform that again no one actually split them up. Geri Halliwell, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, and Emma Bunton all had children at the time and needed to shift their focus back on their families. The reunion tour actually lasted longer than originally expected - there were only three of four shows originally scheduled.
