FHT: This is "female hose thread", and commonly refers specifically to the 3/4" female hose thread that's found on most household garden hoses. FHT fittings and hoses don't seal on the threads themselves; the seal is made with a washer that's at the "top" of the female hose threads
Washer supply hose, 3/4 x 3/4Water , or you could mean drain line hose. Drain
Remove the 2000 Chevrolet Malibu washer tank supply hose. Remove the windshield washer tank retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new windshield washer tank.
To connect a washing machine drain hose to a flexible hose it is proper to seal the union with plumbers tape and a hose clamp. Silicone should not be used because it may come loose and get into the drainage system. If Silicone is used it might also be necessary to cut the hose when removing the washer drain hose.
Screen is plugged between the hosebibb and the washer inside the supply hose. Turn off hosebibb, unplug washer,undo the hose attachment and clean the screens.

Connection of the washer drain hose to the tub drain is very important. This will help prevent leaks for example.
It fills the washer with water from the source, Theres usually a cut-of valve or faucet on the wall near the washer for it.
Pump or fitting is leaking underneath the washer, the hose where it attaches to the washer needs tightening or the hose itself is not high enough to prevent the water from just running out.
Check on the washer solvent tank. If it is not there you will see the washer solvent hose, follow it to your pump.
Remove the handle. Cut off the water supply! Remove the nut holding the stem in the faucet. Unscrew the stem. In the end is a screw and the old washer. Also inside the fauct is a seat that the washer must seal upon. That is generally replaceble or can be cleaned up in cronic leak situations.
There is a clear hose attached to the water level control of the washer. The other end of the hose is attached underneath the washer. The hose isn't attached with any hose clamps so if the washer rocks from a uneven load it could come disconnected and on the next load the water fills up and never stops. Just disconnect the water and electric and the drain and turn the washer on its side look for the hose and reattach it to the hookup underneath-- I just fixed mine, I thought I was going to be buying a new washer but this one still works great now!
