In December 1964, Che Guevara traveled to New York City as head of the Cuban delegation to speak at the United Nations. During his impassioned address, he criticized the United Nations inability to confront the "brutal policy of apartheid" in South Africa, proclaiming "can the United Nations do nothing to stop this?" Guevara then denounced the United States policy towards their black population, stating:
"Those who kill their own children and discriminate daily against them because of the color of their skin; those who let the murderers of blacks remain free, protecting them, and furthermore punishing the black population because they demand their legitimate rights as free men - how can those who do this consider themselves guardians of freedom?"

Guevara's Cuban comrades began calling him "Che" due to his Argentinian accent and frequent use of the word. The nickname eventually stuck and became widely associated with him.

I am assuming you have read Dulce et decorum est, the WW1 poem. The whole phrase- "Dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori" means "it is sweet and right to die for your country". So pro patria mori means for your country. By the way it is latin. Hope that helped!

The previous answer here was "no idea man", so I will add just one reasonable answer to replace it: The image or symbol of Che Guevara's face i.e. 'Guerrillero Heroico' is now used for countless capitalist means. For example, you will see his face printed on many items to be bought, thereby being a part of capitalism. However, Che Guevara was a Marxist revolutionary and Marxism is the polar opposite of Capitalism. Che would therefore not have been happy to see his image used for such Capitalist gain. There is an irony in the way the symbol of Che is now used in popular culture.
