  • Only president who lived in Indiana as an adult, although that was born in Northbend, Ohio .
  • Grandson of President William Harrison, whose father was also named Benjamin Harrison and signed the Declaration of Independence.
  • US Senator for one term : 1881-1887
  • Lived at 1230 N Delaware St, Indianapolis, IN 46202. His house is now a museum, open to the public.
  • Buried at Crown Point Cemetery in Indianapolis
  • Admitted to the bar in 1854
  • Graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1852.
