The Reverend Gary Davis (1896-1972)was a blind blues and gospel singer and guitarist. He was influential in the 60's blues revival scene and praised for his teaching and performances at the Newport Blues festivals. One of his greatest songs is 'Death Don't Have No Mercy'.
