Almost the only person Hades liked was his stolen wife, Persephone. He also liked the dead souls in his kingdom, because he thought that the more people that were in the Under world, the more power he would possess.

No, they were not friends. In fact, they were brothers. Zeus was the ruler of all the God's. He had the ultimate power. He had control over not only God's, but of the sky's. They were brothers, but enemies. Hades was jealous of Zeus's power. From what i know, Hades was always trying to be the upper power. But Zeus never let that happen.
