Jethro was a Priest of Midian whose daughter, Zipporah, married Moses. There is some confusion over the name, as he is also referred to as Reuel in Exodus 2:16 and 2:18. In Judges 4:11 a man named Hobab is mentioned as Moses' father-in-law, although there is controversy over this, as some theologians believe that Hobab is a brother-in-law of Moses instead.
