Julius Caesar was a very strict Roman ruler. Had one son, who's name was Octavius. Julius died when he was ordered to a senate meeting. His wife had a bad feeling about him going there. But he didn't listen. He went anyway, when he got there he was stabbed to death by the other senators. After his death, his son Octavius became the first real emperor of Rome. He was one of the most successful rulers of his time. From all he achieved, he was crowned with the name Augustus, which meant something like "You're the greatest!" to the Romans.

Quick Trivia: The months in the roman calendar were mostly accurate, but they had 13 instead of 12. In the calendar were two certain months : July, and August. They were named after Julius and Augustus. That's why we have them today.
