Upon her marriage to The Duke of York in 1923 she became "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of York"

When her husband became King in 1936 she became "Her Majesty the Queen"

After her husbands death in 1952 she for the rest of her life was titled "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother"

Queen Elizabeth II's parents were King George VI and his wife Elizabeth Bowes-Lyons. When the present queen's father died and she became queen, her mother became known as Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and died in 2001 aged 101.
