The question is not very specific, Robert Palmer would have had plenty of background singers, either in studio recordings or live in concert, over the course of his lengthy career. One of his more notable back up singers was B.J Nelson, who is credited as back up vocalist on the 1985 Power Station album (Palmer was lead singer for this group, which included members of Duran Duran and Chic). She is also listed in the credits for his subsequent solo albums Riptide in 1985 and Heavy Nova in 1988. She appears in the music video and duets with Palmer on his minor 1989 hit single "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming". Palmer also produced an album for her, on the EMI Label (where Palmer was under contract at the time), that included the duet "Shoot The Moon" which Palmer featured on his Heavy Nova Tour in 1988-89.
