The Civil Rights movement was a nonviolent movement of civil disobedience and marches. Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of its leaders and was assassinated.
During the 1840's labor movement in conjunstion with the industrialization of amerca. Passice resistance, picketing, mild disobedience, and voting. The radicalized part of the movement used violence and intimidation, and were a cross. Dr. King had to bear, as the these folks were a detriment to the civil rights movement.

Muhammad Ali was a great advocate for the civil rights movement. Ali spoke out against white domination. He was awarded the Otto Hahn peace medal for his contributions to the civil rights movement.
