Captain Smith (I think his first name was Robert)
The captain of the Titanic went down with the ship.

The passengers wrote letters and the officers tapped them out on Morse Code.
Brian Ambrose was the chairman of the company that built the Titanic.
The captain of the Titanic was Edward Smith. On the night the ship hit the iceberg, he was in command and had been warned about ice in the area but did not reduce speed significantly. After the collision, he took charge of the evacuation efforts, directing the crew and passengers to lifeboats, and ultimately went down with the ship.
First Officer William Murdoch was in charge of the ship when it crashed. Captain Smith was the official captain, but Murdoch was, I believe, in charge at the moment. Many people don't know that the damage would have not been as much if they collided with the berg head-on. Titanic probably would have stayed afloat long enough for most to survive and for help to arrive.
There was a last minute change in the officers who were charge of the Titanic when it sailed from England to the USA, and the officer who was in charge of the equipment, (absentmindedly) took the key to the storage locker with him when he left the ship in England. They couldn't find a replacement key and the lookouts were not issued any binoculars, even though White Star Lines official policy was that binoculars were supposed to given to lookouts. They only had a few binoculars, and these were given to the high ranking officers, not the lookouts.
Titanic
a crew member david blair was in charge of the key to the box the binoculars were in and he for some reason was not on the ship i think it was because he was ill .
BECAUSE THEY FELT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Titanic was not hit. An iceberg was struck by the Titanic.
The Titanic band boarded Titanic as 2nd class passengers. Titanic's band were just the entertainers for 1st class.
