Actually, the other people who were in the "Secret Annex" with Anne was her family (Margot-her sister, Edith-her mother, and Otto-her father), the van Pels' (Peter, Auguste, and Hermann), and Fritz Pfeffer. In the published version of The Diary of Anne Frank, Anne changed the names of some of the residents of the "Secret Annex" because she does not put them in the best light. Her families names are the same, but the van Pels' are the van Daans and Auguste is changed to Petronella. Fritz Pfeffer is changed to Mr. Dussel.

∙ 14y agoOtto, Edith, Margot and Anne Frank, and then Otto's business partner Hermann Van Pels, his wife Auguste, and their son Peter were all in the attic originally. Soon after they went into hiding, another man joined them named Albert Düssel.

∙ 11y agoYes and no. She lived in an annex in her father's office building, which was like a whole secret level of the building. There was an attic at the very top that they used, but there was also a kitchen and other bedrooms in the annex as well. Anne Frank lived there with her sister Margot, her father, Otto, her mother, Edith, Herman van Pels, Auguste van Pels, Peter van Pels, and a local dentist named Fritz Pfeffer from 1942-1944 until they were captured.
Technically not. She lived in the top two floors in the back of her father's office building and there was an attic, but she didn't live in it. She lived in her own room with Mr. Pfeffer, and would go up to the attic with Peter, or by herself - the attic was Anne's refuge.

The secret annex was situated behind a bookcase in the attic of Otto Frank's company building. A week later, on 13 July 1942, they were joined by the van Pels family (Hermann van Pels [dad], Auguste van Pels [mom], Peter van Pels [16 year old son]) and later in November by a family friend and dentist Fritz Pfeffer. They lived there for 2 years and one month (or 25 months) before they were found by a German Police following a tip from a unknown informer. Only Otto Frank survived the war out of all 8.

The van Pels family (Hermann van Pels, Auguste van Pels, and their 16 years old son Peter van Pels) moved in a week later on 13 July 1942. The last member of the secret annex joined in November 1942, his name was Fritz Pfeffer. They lived there until they were found by a German police on 4 August 1944 after living there for 2 years and one month.
In addition to Anne Frank's family, there were four other people in the attic hiding from the Nazis: Hermann, Auguste, and Peter van Pels, along with Fritz Pfeffer.
