There was one other person hiding with them. He joined them later. He was an elderly Jewish dentist named Dussel. Anne was frustrated by him sometimes, and she had to share a room with him. There was a total of eight people in the secret annex.

∙ 12y agoThe Frank family hid on-top of a Spice Shop in The Netherlands, Amsterdam. The Shop owners also lived on-top of the shop, and she, Miep Gies, let the Frank family live in the attic of their home!

∙ 12y agoAnne Frank and her Family went into hiding in 1942. They went into hiding because they were Jews during World War 2 you cant get caught or else they would send those Jews to a camp to work. And they lived during that danger but they got caught.

The Franks had already planned to go into hiding, although Anne and Margot were not aware of this. Anne mentions in her diary that the hiding place was not ready, but because of Margot's notice, they had to move immediately.
