Edward Timpson (born Anthony Edward Timpson on December 26, 1973) succeeded Gwyneth Dunwoody as the second, and current, Member of Parliament for Crewe and Nantwich, serving since 2008, including the whole of 2009.
There is no Member of Parliament for Cheshire East. Before 2009 there were three Borough Councils in the area that is now Cheshire East. These boroughs were Congleton, Crewe & Nantwich and Macclesfield, and each had there own MP. In 2009 the Boroughs were merged into one, to form Cheshire East. Despite this, however, each old borough area still retains its own MP. Within these old borough areas there are two additional constituencies - Eddisbury and Tatton. As of today, the MPs that have Seats within the Cheshire East area are: Fiona Bruce - Congleton Edward Timpson - Crewe and Nantwich Stephen O'Brien - Eddisbury David Rutley - Macclesfield George Osborne - Tatton They are all Conservative Party MPs.
