It deals with the kidnapping of beloved Princess Ozma by Ugu the Shoemaker. As is the case with a crime story, it also details the search for clues, the rescue of the princess, and the identification and bringing to justice of the perpetrator.

Button Bright decides to hold on to the peach's golden pit. Ozma is rescued when the Wizard pries the pit open with a pocketknife.
