Bobsleigh debuted at the 1924 Winter Games in Chamonix. There was one event in those Games. Strangly enough, the event allowed teams to run a four or five man sled down the course. Switzerland won the gold medal with a four man team of Alfred Neveu, Eduard Scherrer, Heinrich Schlappi, and Alfred Schlappi.
