To see both the north celestial pole and the south celestial pole at the same time a person would need to standing at the equator. The atmospheric haze may interfere near the horizon may obstruct the view.

Roald Amundsen achieved many things in both the North and South Poles, however his journey in the South Pole is more known worldwide. Many things were named after him and he did not have achievements in the South Pole - he just achieved what he aimed to do there. This goal was to become the first person to reach both poles and it was fulfilled completely.

Yes there are. They are the same phenomenon as the Northern Lights. It happens at both the north pole and south pole. The Northern Lights can be seen in much of the northern hemisphere and the Southern Lights in much of the southern hemisphere.
