∙ 14y agoWell, the story of coffee is from Ethiopia, from a goat herd.
The goat herd noticed that his goats were a little on the crazy side, so he decided to watch them.
He quickly learned that the goats were eating the "fruit" off this one bush.
He decided to try it, and learned that it made him feel awake and alert.
He brought some to his priest, and the priest called it "The devil's food", and threw it into the fire.
The smell of the beans arose from the fire....
Well, I'm pretty sure that he must have figured out that putting it in water made a delicious drink.... But I'm not positive.....

∙ 14y agoThe history of coffee goes back thru the ninth century. Highland farmers in Ethiopia were the first to cultivate the coffee tree. Ancestors of Ethiopia's Oromo tribe were said to be the first humans to drink the brew.
