∙ 7y agoIt was probably climbed in Ancient British times, so the person who first climbed it would not have been recorded. It is an easy climb, you can walk up it without climbing implements; my daughter did so recently - she has no climbing experience.
The first recorded ascent of Snowdon was by the botanist Thomas Johnson in 1639.
However, it is more than possible that many other people ascended to the summit prior to this.

- The youngest known person to climb snowdon is Graeme Firth who climbed the mountain aged 5 in 1988.
- I climbed Snowdon last tues 27th july 2010 with family and friends 4 children were with us aged 9, 7, 6, and 3!!!! the 3 year old made it to the top and down again! Didn't even need the train.
- I can not improve on the age, my daughter climbed Snowdon at 3 years old, but I also carried her up at 3 months old. We got lots of oohs and ahs as we laid her on a rock at the summit to change her nappy!
- The youngest known person to climb snowdon is my daughter who climbed the ranger path on 8/19/13 aged 4 years old.
- My 3 year old son completed this 8/17/17 unaided walked all the way up and back down in 6 hours 4 minutes from Llanberis.

∙ 9y agoThe oldest man believed to have climbed Mount Snowdon is Roy Pinhorne from Portsmouth on Wednesday 21st May 2014 aged 81 years and 11 months. He walked up the Llanberis Path setting off at 10.50 a.m. and returned to the bottm at 17.25 p.m. He was accompanied by his granddaugther Rebeccha Pinhorne, son Phil Pinhorne and Ricky Wright.
