Nobody from India had landed on moon yet. It is too expensive to be moon. As India is progressing, a day will come when Indian flag would on moon. Last year India launched an unmanned space shuttle Chandrayaan for moon.
The question is not when but why? Indian scientists have sent a satelite circling the moon in November, 2008. They also purposefully crashed a flag-wrapped box on the moon's surface to measure variables. This is a matter of great pride for the nation. But the fact remains that 300 million people in India live in abject poverty. Why is everyone being swept up by this mad rush to make things and produce things for fame and glory? We are humans first and our human needs come first. Let's slow down, think and look at our ourselves and what we are doing to each other. We have lost perspective and are blindly following the illusion of "progress". The only progress worth pursuing is that which makes people happy and fulfilled. Read more at: http://OurNewScience.com/
