The first teddy bear originated from a hunting expedition when rosevelt caught a baby black bear and refused to kill it. On Novenmer 16, 1902, the Washington post made a cartoon of a black bear being lassoed by a handler with an unapproving Rosevelt standing by. Later they edited the cartoon and made the bear smaller and cuter. a man called Morris Michtom saw the cartoon and was inspired to creat a new toy he then put it on sale labeled 'Tedd's Bear'.
