Depending on which dynasty you are speaking of there were a lot of first wars. In Ancient China in 26th century BC it was the Battle of Banquan. The yellow emperor defeats the Yan emperor. During the Imperial China in 215 BC it was the Qin's campaign against the Xiongnu. The Qin forces attacked the Xiongnu in the Ordos Desert. In the Chu-Han Contentions in 205 BC the Battle of Pengcheng took place. Western Chu defeated Han.
