They were not kings. They were wise men.The king sent them to see and kill the new king who was to be named Jesus.
The ruler was king Herod.
Jesus did not actually meet any kings, except in Luke's Gospel where the account of the trial differs significantly from the other gospels. In this Gospel, Jesus was sent by Pontius Pilate to Herod Antipas, king of Galilee, for judgement.
More than 1 king came to see Mary Jesus
The New Testament says that Jesus was taken to the high priest Annas who then sent him to the high priest Caiaphas. He was then sent to Pontius Pilate to be prosecuted for claiming to be the King of Jews.
Pilate learned that Jesus was a Galilean and was under Herod's jurisdiction. So Pilate sent Jesus to Herod, who had heard about Jesus and had wanted to see Him.
Jesus didn't get arrested, as there we're no jails in those days, he was CRUCIFIED.
AnswerLuke 23:4-7 " Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man..........And as soon as he knew that he (Jesus) belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time".
No one...that is, when He was an adult. However, when He was a child, King Herod sent soldiers to the town where He was reported to be living and had them kill all the male children two years old and under in an effort to kill Jesus. Jesus and His family escaped, and the tragic "Slaughter of the Innocents" failed in its attempt to snuff out Jesus' life.
They believed Jesus was a king.
No. They knew that he was special and was the King of the Jews. But they did not know why he was here.
Everyone. Every person ever created, Jesus was sent to save them. Everyone.
