Joseph was never king of Egypt. He was an adviser to the king. Genesis chapters 37-50 might be helpful for you.

Joseph was not the king of Egypt. He was a Vizer who was given authority to act in the name of the Pharaoh with almost limitless power - the Pharaoh only remained above him because he was Pharaoh. Otherwise he had full authority over everything in Egypt except the throne itself.

Technically, Joseph did not rule Egypt, he was second in charge. According to Biblical history he was in Egypt for a total of 91 years. Genesis 37-58

Answer

Joseph was 30 when he began ruling and 110 when he died.

This means Joseph ruled Egypt for 80 years.

However, because the 7-year famine affected all known countries, by comparing each country's ancient official records, it can be determined when this famine occurred. This means the actual years can also be known.

1708BC -7 years of famine begin (Gen 41:53-54)

1715BC -7 years of plenty begin (Gen 41:47)

" -Joseph 30 yrs old when he begins to rule Egypt (Gen 41:46)

1745BC -Joseph born

1635BC -Joseph 110 when he died (Gen 50:26)

Joseph was 30 when he began ruling and 110 when he died.

This means Joseph ruled Egypt for 80 years,[1715 - 1635]. [All dating Ussher]

Joseph was 30 when he began ruling and 110 when he died, meaning Joseph ruled Egypt for 80 years.

The pivotal event was a terrible 7-year famine, and The Bible does not say "This famine occurred in XXXXBC"; however, this widespread 7-year famine affected all known countries it was so disastrous that it was recorded in their official records, and by comparing each country's ancient official records, it can be determined when this famine occurred. This means it can be correlated with the Bible and the actual years can also be known.

Joseph born in 1745BC, was 30 when he began ruling in 1715BC, and 110 when he died in 1635BC.
This means Joseph ruled Egypt for 80 years [1715 - 1635]. [All dating Ussher]

When was Joseph smith concered a prophet?

There is no official answer for when exactly Joseph Smith was considered a prophet. Some, citing the Jeremiah 1:5 ("...before thou camest forth from the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."), would consider Joseph Smith to have always been a prophet, and say that he was ordained to that position by God before his mortal birth. Others might consider Joseph Smith a prophet from the age of fourteen, when he received his first vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ, and learned that his mission was to restore true Christianity to the earth. Others might consider him a prophet from the time he received the plates and began translating the Book of Mormon. Others still could consider him a prophet from the day the Church was organized, April 6, 1830, or from the time that he was sustained as the president, prophet, seer, and revelator of the Church.
