George Gordon Meade
the battle of gettysburg
Lee for the South, Meade for the North
Gettysburg
Lee for the South; Meade for the North…
The Battle of Gettysburg is the battle that gave the North an advantage in the war. It is widely believed that the Battle of Gettysburg was the turning point in the American Civil War.
The North (those againt slavery) were the Union throughout the Civil War, and including during the Battle of Gettysburg.
Most of the Civil War took place in the South. The farthest up they got in the North, and I believe the only battle in the North, was the Battle of Gettysburg in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The newly-promoted George Gordon Meade.
Lee commanded the South. Meade commanded the North.
The bloodiest battle of the civil war was The Battle of Gettysburg...wich the union/North won
No Gettysburg happened two years after the war started. It was the second Confederate invasion of the North.
I think it was at Gettysburg, PA
