Aaron was the first prophet mentioned. Information about him can be found in Exodus. Also, when you say oldest prophet do you mean life span of a prophet or first prophet mentioned? Methuselah, he was 969 years old == == The Bible does not specifically address this question although it would seem that all four of the major prophets, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Daniel lived to a ripe old age.
Enoch prophesied according to the book of Jude and he lived to be 365 and was not because he was translated (He did not die, but was taken by God). Jude 1:14,15 Aaron was the first prophet mentioned. CORRECTION Abraham was the first Prophet in the bible. God himself pronounced him a Prophet : Now therefore restore to the man his wife, for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou shalt not restore her, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou and all that are thine.
(Genesis 20:7)
If Abraham was a Prophet and his son inherited the covenant God had with Abraham and all he had including the promise:
And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.
(Genesis 25:5)
But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to thee at this set time in the next year.
(Genesis 17:21)
Then by default Isaac also was a Prophet.
The next person in the line was Jacob. In his case the bible clearly confirms that he was a Prophet by his Prophecy concerning his children at his death bed:
And Jacob called to his sons, and said, Assemble yourselves, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
(Genesis 49:1)
As expected all of the prophecies stated over the twelve came to pass or are being fulfilled accordingly.
This may seem far-fetched by some but it could be argued that Levi, aside inheriting the priesthood also was a Prophet in the sense that:
It was noted he paid tithes in his father Abraham
virtually, if not all of his children were noted prophets as all of the children of
Amram his grand son and Jochebed his daughter gave birth to Aaron Moses and Miriam were Prophets/Prophetess
It would not be wrong to conclude that his three children were also prophets
And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
(Genesis 46:11)
Likewise, supporting this we note that Korah who lead a rebellion against Moses was a great, great grandson of Levi. Had most likely like Moses and Aaron his relations the prophetic anointing upon him.
Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
(Numbers 16:1)
If all of the children of Levi were Prophets as postulated then
from the above analysis we may deduce that: at least
1.Abraham
2.Isaac
3.Jacob
4.Levi
5.Gershon, 6.Gohath, 7.Merari
8.Jochebed (prophetess)9. Amram, 10.Izhar, 11.Hebron, 12. Uzziel
who were older and direct ancestors of Aaron were Prophets ahead of him!
It was Enoch, who lived on the earth and prophesied until he was 365, but did not die as he was then taken by God into heaven, or raptured :-
