I have interviewed multiple veterans. The answer I get to this question is always Tommy Prince. Prince is given the honour of being the most decorated First Nations soldier but he is also the most decorated Canadian soldier. I do not have documents to prove this only the testimony of multiple veterans who served in the military during the same years as Tommy Prince has.
Davy is important because he was a congressman for Tennessee and a very great soldier who lost his life at the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
The most famous French woman soldier was Joan of Arc who fought the English and was known as the Maid of Orleans. She is known as Jeanne d'Arc in French or St Joan of Arc. She was burned at the stake by the English and Burgundians in 1431 in the city of Rouen.
Though there is a schism in the world of scholarship, I believe the answer is yes.
