There has been no Vice-President (or President) known to be of any race other than "Caucasian". Political oponents have sometimes used allegations of non-white "blood" to smear a candidate. Thus in 1860 it was claimed that Lincoln's running-mate, Hannibal Hamlin, was in fact a mulatto. The ticket won anyway. And in 1920 there were similar rumours about Warren Harding, who nonetheless won by a landslide margin.
