Born Dec. 25th of a virgin, performing miracles, 12 followers, crucifixion, resurrection. Story of Jesus? Yes, but it is also the story of Mithra born on Dec. 25 of a virgin mother named Anahita. Mithra had 12 followers representing the 12 signs of the Zodiac. He preformed miracles, was crucified and came back to life 3 days later. The story of Jesus Christ is the same story as the hundreds of Gods that predated him. Christ is just modern mythology. I recommend thegodmovie.com if you want proof of what I am saying. Most Christians would find this an easy question to answer. Jesus was born is Bethlehem during the reign of Herod, performed many great miracles, was crucified and rose from the dead. He was the founder of Christianity.

Some say that much of what is written about Jesus in the gospels did not really happened. He did not perform the miracles and did not rise from the dead. The real Jesus was a charismatic preacher, whose story was magnified by followers until it became the story of the Son of God, who died to save the world.

Another view is that Jesus of Nazareth never even existed. Paul and others were worshipping a spiritual Jesus, but the author of Mark's Gospel transposed those beliefs into his story of Jesus of Nazareth.
