Kyle Katarn faced two dark jedi who both had the power from the Valley of the Jedi (The Valley is a place where all the jedi and siths who had died, their force is collected by the power of the Valley). Jerec and Desann. The two who planned to conquer the galaxy with the power from the Valley. Katarn first battled Jerec at the Valley and led himself to victory.
After losing the power of the force, Katarn was assigned on a mission. Armed only with ammo consuming weapons, fought through remnant troops. Thousands of troops, including hundreds of reborns and shadowtroopers (dark jedi with the power from the Valley) through his mission to find Desann. Katarn fought alongside Jan Ors, Katarns partner, who was captured by Desann and his apprentice Tavion on Artus Prime after Kyle's mission to Kejim.
He went to Yavin 4, where the Jedi Temple is to find Luke Skywalker.
Luke put Katarn in a trial to re use his force powers.
After re familiarising his force powers, he travelled to Nar Shadaar to find Baruk for more information to Desanns where abouts.
Katarn went to Bespin and defeated Tavion single handed.
Katarn became a stow away on the Doomgiver and battled Galak Fyyar (helper of Desann and scientist who created lightsaber resistant armor out of cortosis) in his Cortisis suit armed with a plasma mallet and a heavy Imperial repeater with a shield around his armor.
Katarn with his powerful force defeated Galak, saving the captured Jan and both escaped the Doomgiver before the ship was destroyed.
Katarn escaped to Yavin 4. Through swamps and canyons, arrived at the Jedi temple which was invaded by the dark side. Katarn followed Desann through trapped filled tunnels under the temple.
Desann with the power from the Valley of the Jedi was overpowered. He almost killed Kyle by collapsing an entire hall with the flick of his wrist. Katarn met up with Desann and battled a fierce battle. At the last minute, Katarn used his powers and tipped over a massive pillar which hit desann.
Kyle mastered force push, pull, speed, mind trick, jump, levitate, choke, lightning, heal, protect and rage.
Kyle could defeat many dark jedi who were stronger than him, because they were all empowered by the power from the Valley of the Jedi.

The most powerful single lightsabre Sith was Sidious, but a past Sith fought with three sabres at once, and as they have never fought, we cannot be sure who is stronger, but the most powerful Sith with the force is Darth Plagus 'the wise', as it was he who influenced the force to create Anakin. That is why he has no father, as he was born of the force and Schmi Skywalker.

∙ 14y agoThis is a very tough question to answer. Some say it was Darth Revan, the Sith responsible for starting the Jedi Civil War. In my opinion the most powerful Sith Lord was Darth Bane. He is the Sith responsible for destroying the Brotherhood of Darkness at the end of the Jedi Civil War, which allowed him to create his own Sith order which he called the "Rule of Two." Mace windu is the only jedi that can weild it. anyone else who try's will always die.

∙ 9y agoIt is difficult to tell for sure, as light side Jedi did not fight each other, and not all dark Jedi fought each other either.
If you're going just from the movies, a common school of thought is that Yoda was probably the "Strongest" Jedi with regards to his connection to the force. However, both Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and Luke Skywalker were incredibly force-sensitive and likely the most powerful Jedi in their respective primes.

I would answer with yes - absolutely. Once he took on the title "Darth" and became an apprentice to Darth Sidious, he became a Sith Lord. Even the apprentices in the Rule of Two created by Darth Bane are Sith Lords. If you are a Sith after the time of Darth Bane - then you are a Sith Lord whether you are the master or the apprentice. If your definition of a sith is a person who uses the dark side of the force, then there are the witches of dathmir, the prophets of the dark side, and the emperor's hands. The first Sith Lord who came after Vader was actually Palpatine again in his clone bodies. And before Caedus (Caedus is the correct spelling) there was Dark Lady of the Sith Lumiya who converted Jacen Solo to the dark side.
