First understand what 'Uranus' or what the Greeks called Ouranos is; as primeval god of the sky.
The Greeks imagined the sky as a solid dome of brass, decorated with stars, whose edges descended to rest upon the outermost limits of the flat earth.
Hesiod claims the parent of Ouranos was Gaia (Earth).
Others argue Aither (Light) and Gaia (Earth).
Aither is the Protogenos god of the bright, glowing upper air of heaven - the substance of light; sometimes argued to be the parent of Ouranos alone.
Or of both Aither and his consort Hemera (Day).
Orphic myth, more rarely popular, claims that he is a child of Nyx alone, or born of the world egg formed by Chronus and Aither containing Ouranus and Gaia.
Zeus' father was Ouranus (uranus) and his mother was the Earth, gaia, mother earth. Ouranus was Gaia's own child too.

Hera is a goddess of sky and earth; her mother being Rhea the Titan mountain goddess and grandmother being Gaia the Earth itself. Leto was also pursued by Hera.
