King Tut's grandfather was Amenhotep iii(a pharoah), married to queen Tiye. Amenhotep iii's son and successor was called Amenhotep v(better known as Akhenaten). Akhenaten's primary wife was queen Nefertiti, but his son and successor, Tutankhamun, was the child of his lesser wife, Kiya. Tutankhamun was married to his half sister Anaksenamun(daughter of Neferiti and Akhenaten. Tutankhamun died childless. His successor was Aye, Nefertit's father, who got the throne by marrying Tutankhamun's widow, Anaksenamun.
