When one understands just what a Prophet is, we will realize that there are no "Big Prophets", only prophets that are well known because they are mentioned more in the scriptures.

A prophet is a person who knows by personal revelation from the Holy Ghost

that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, " for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Rev. 19:10;)

Accordingly, every prophet bears record of Christ. "To him give all the prophets witness" (Acts 10:43;).

No matter how many other talents a person has if they do not have a testimony born of the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the Christ, they are not a prophet.

"Believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world" (John 4:1;).

Also a prophet is only a prophet when he is acting as such.

Any man or woman for that matter who has by revelation a sure knowledge that Jesus is the Christ is a Prophet, though it must be understood that not all are given the same authority to preach the gospel and to be a spokesperson for Christ. To have a testimony given by the Holy Spirit does not give one the right to speak on behalf of others.
