Abraham had only one son from his wife Sarah, who was named Isaac. Ishmael was not Sarah's son, he was Hagar's son. Abraham also had six other children from his second wife Keturah, but no others from Sarah.
Abraham and Sarah had only one child: Isaac. Because of Sarah's lack of trust in God's promise of a son, she had Abraham sleep with her handmaiden Hagar, and out of that union came Ishmael, Abraham's only other child.
Only one child is named, and that is their son Isaac (Genesis ch.17, ch.21, and ch.25). Abraham's other children were not born from Sarah (Genesis ch.25).See also:
Abraham had eight children, not twelve. They are: Isaac, Ishmael, and the six sons whom he had with Keturah (see Genesis ch.25).
Ishmeal and Isaac
Abraham Lincoln's mother, Nancy Hanks Lincoln, gave live birth to Sarah and Abraham. They were the only children living in the cabin until Abraham's mother died. Abraham was nine when his mother died. Nancy Lincoln and her parents (caregivers), Elizabeth Sparrow, and Thomas Sparrow all died within days of each other. The two children the Sparrows were caring for moved in with Thomas Lincoln. Now, there were four children living in the cabin. Thomas was caring for Sarah, Abraham, Dennis and Sophie. Two years later Thomas remarried. His new wife brought with her three children. When Abraham was 13, these children were living in the same cabin: Sarah, Abraham, Dennis, Sophie, Sarah Elizabeth, Matilda, and John. When Abraham was from 13 to 19 years old, there were seven children living in the cabin.
Abraham's wife was Sarah. When she reached old age without children, she urged Abraham to attempt to father a child with her servant, Hagar, in order to perpetuate his line. Abraham complied with Sarah's urging, and fathered Ishmael. Sarah later did give birth to Isaac, by Abraham. Some time after Sarah's death, Abraham remarried in his old age, to K'turah.
Abraham fathered children with three mothers, although they didn't all share the same status in his clan. They were Hagar, Sarah, and Keturah.
Sarah Lincoln Grigsby, Abraham Lincoln's older sister, did not have any children who lived. She died, in childbirth, and her first child, a boy, was stillborn. Sarah Bush Johnston Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's stepmother, had 3 children from a prior marriage, which left her a widow, when she married Abraham Lincoln's father, Thomas. Her children's names were: Elizabeth, Matilda, and John D.
The Jews are descendents of Abraham through Sarah and Isaac, and the Arabs are descendents of Abraham through Hagar and Ishmael. Christians are described in the New Testament as adopted children of Abraham (through Sarah and Isaac.) "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:29
God promised Abraham and Sarah that they would have many descendants and that they would be the ancestors of a great nation. He also promised them the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession for their descendants.
Once Sarah found out that she was barren and old, she asked Abraham to sleep with their slave maid Hager, and Ishmael was born.
Abraham married Keturah after the death of Sarah.

Sarah was barren
Nancy Lincoln gave birth to Sarah Lincoln shortly after marring Thomas Lincoln. The father of Sarah is unknown. Thomas Lincoln was castrated when he was 12 and was not the father of Sarah or Abraham. Sarah and Abraham were brother and sister and they were not married. Abraham and Sarah had the same mother, but different fathers. Abraham's father was Samuel Davis. Abraham Lincoln married Mary Todd.
