North Korea. The North Koreans attacked first and the Americans helped the South Koreans. Once the North Korean Army was surrounded, the Capitalists invaded NK. China thought the Americans were imperialists like Japan in WW2, and so helped the North Koreans.

What were the bad guys in the Korean war?

Wars don't generally have bad guys and good guys. They have one side and the other. In the case of the Korean war one side was the arbitrarily designated area known as North Korea backed by the Peoples' Republic of China, the other side was the arbitrarily designated area known as South Korea backed by the United States of America. The physical division of Korea was done by by an agreement of the victorious Allies at the conclusion of the Pacific War at the end of World War 2, not by the Korean people. Each side saw the other as wrong.

What separated the good guys and the bad guys in the cold war?

If you are thinking of the "iron curtain" or the "Berlin Wall", then understand that the 'Bad Guys', the Communist governments of the Soviet Union & its puppets states in Eastern Europe (including East Germany) created these fences, walls & minefields to imprison its own population and keep them from escaping to the west (where the 'Good Guys' were). It would be the responsibility of NATO (good guys) to keep the 'bad guys' from attacking the western nations (mainly West Germany).

Why did the US get involved in the war in Korea?

It was what was culturally a long time ago. Communism was bad. Protecting the weak was good. The South Koreans will never forget the sacrifices that the US and UN nations made during the war. As a Korean, the Korean War Display in DC made me cry.

Who were the bad guys and who were good guys during World War 1?

It depends on who you ask. This war had no clear good or bad sides, mostly because the war was largely about territorial despute and tensions that had been building for almost a century. The Imperial powers were all fighting for the same reason for the most part. It is also worth mentioning that the United States almost joined the Central Powers at one point, which demonstrates how similar the two sides really were. The Central Powers and Allies Powers were neither good nor bad; the result of the war however, imposed by the Allies, was the central cause of the second world war.
